Highlands at the Oaks on Parkwood provides both short term rehabilitation and long term nursing care. In collaboration with our resident, their loved ones, and their health care team, care plans are designed to meet their individual needs. A full range of skilled nursing and rehabilitative services are available. Our staff includes nurses, dieticians, therapists and social workers. The Oaks’ skilled nursing is both Medicare and Medicaid certified and participates in the area’s most popular managed care plans.
Short Term Rehabilitation
The Oaks brings a spirit of rejuvenation to its rehabilitation services by offering state-of-the-art rehabilitation techniques in pleasant and supportive surroundings. Our goal is to restore lost or diminished abilities after an illness or injury by treating the whole person—physically, emotionally and socially. Our objective is to return each person to his or her highest level of functioning. We achieve our goals by combining a highly qualified professional staff, and a restorative environment that encourages progress. Private accommodations are available with a dedicated dining area for rehabilitation residents in close proximity. Short term rehabilitation care is often covered by Medicare and other insurers for qualifying stays (deductibles and co-pays may apply).
Long Term Care
Experienced, caring, around-the-clock nursing care is provided for long term skilled nursing residents. Semi-private and private rooms are available with dining rooms located down the hall in close proximity for easy access. Long term residents enjoy a casual environment where visitors are always welcome. Planned activities including exercise, spiritual services, arts and crafts, outings and more; for a more well-rounded living experience. Skilled Nursing Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care for residents in moderate stages of the disease is available in a separate/secure area known as The Arbor.
